“Charlie Gonzalez has been a friend and a source of inspiration to me and my family, and I’m sorry to hear the news of his retirement.
“We’ve been fortunate to have such a dedicated, strong voice fighting for San Antonio in Washington over the last 14 years. Too many of our representatives lose touch with their communities. Charlie was not one of them. From his time as District Judge to US Congressman, his has been a necessary voice for fairness and justice, and it will be missed.
